KALLE KRAUSE creates a unique vintage setting

In collaboration with Oliver Dentges, KALLE KRAUSE implemented a creative show concept as requested by the customer, GM Syntex. The manufacturer of decorative and upholstery fabrics is one of the major producers based in Mumbai, India. The task of KALLE KRAUSE was: to create the perfect vintage setting for the 2013 Frankfurt Heimtextil trade fair.

For this, KALLE KRAUSE went on a shopping spree in the flea markets of Paris. Old window frames, antique doors and sofas were masterfully restored and reupholstered. They all eventually served as unusual collection stands and display cabinets for the high-quality products. Quality craftsmanship of the wooden floor was also essential. The planks were laid and then painted once they were on the floor, to give the impression of visual ageing. A visual highlight: the artful theatrical painting with chalk on the black exterior walls of the stand.
